Allergies

People with food allergies have to be extremely careful about what they eat. Food labelling is therefore very important to those with food allergies as there can be potentially serious consequences from eating food that they are allergic to.

Food laws require us to be alerted to any of the 14 allergens (listed below) in the food we prepare which can commonly cause problems, and to alert our customers to their presence.

Celery
Cereals containing gluten
Crustaceans
Eggs
Fish
Lupin
Milk
Molluscs
Mustard
Nuts – we are a nut free school
Peanuts – we are a nut free school
Sesame seeds
Soya
Sulphur dioxide

If your child has an allergy to any food we would appreciate if they would ask for a form to complete to inform us of this. The form can be picked up from the kitchen. Even if your child usually has packed lunches we would still like this to be completed to cover any eventuality.
